Blokhusets Sheltersite – at Hald Sø

Shelter site with large campfire hut, handicap-accessible primitive toilet and water tap. The shelter site is located approx. 600 meters from Hald Sø in 20 acres of forest. The site is newly laid out, with the shelters placed in their own “pocket”. There are 5 table and bench sets distributed on the site, as well as tables, benches and a fire pit in the campfire house.

At the three new shelters there are fire pits with a grate. The 3 new shelters have a built-in table and covered bench along the front. There is room for approx. 5 people per shelter. They measure W3.5m x D2.2m.

At the 2 older shelters, which are located a little secluded and cozy in the forest approx. 125 meters away from the others, there is a fire pit with a grate and 2 table and bench sets. There is also room for approx. 5 people in each shelter. They measure W3.2m x D2.3m.

The shelter site is signposted from the entrance to Gl. Almindvej 12 and from the path around Hald Sø.

The site is located near Hærvejen.

Shopping can be done in Skelhøje or Viborg.

You must bring your own firewood.

Remember to clean up after yourself, including the toilet. Remove all waste from the site

Parking 5 meters from the site.

It is not allowed to play electric music (ghetto blasters – sound boxes, etc.) on the site, acoustic is allowed.

The shelters MUST BE BOOKED. If you come to the site and have not booked, you must check if there is a reservation, and if there is a place, you must book before the shelter is used – checks may occur. So you must be able to show the booking by phone/paper. It is possible to book 3 months in advance.

It costs 70 kr. per person. overnight stay to book an entire shelter. The price consists of 40 for shelter accommodation, 22 kr. for free access to the campfire hut, water and toilet and 8 kr. in administration costs for Nets etc.

It is only allowed to set up tents in connection with large events and only after agreement with the person responsible for the site at udlejning@blokhuset.com.

Additional notes:

Remember to leave the site, shelter, campfire house and toilet – as you would like to receive the site. During daytime hours 10:00 – 17:00 there may be “guests” from outside coming to the campfire house, e.g. Schools, kindergartens, etc.
