Hærvejsherberget Thorning

In the heart of Jutland in Thorning by the Kirkepladsen, the hostel Thorning is located as an independent part of Thorning Parish Church. On the site was previously “Den gamle Skole”, which from 2012 to 2018 housed the hostel.

Accommodation for hikers and cyclists

The hostel is 3 km. from the hiking route along Hærvejen, and the cycling route leads through Thorning.
The hostel is run by the Association Hærvejs Herberg i Thorning, FHHT, and the association’s 11 volunteers are in shifts at the hostel when the guests arrive in the late afternoon and leave first in the morning.

There is a large common room with a well-equipped kitchen. In the utility room there is office space, first aid kit, patching equipment, washing machine, tumble dryer, drying cabinet and shoe dryer and drying rack. Around the house there are terraces with tables and benches. There are 3 bathrooms and 6 washing places, 3 toilets and 1 disabled toilet.

The hostel has two bedrooms each with 12 beds – i.e. a total of 24 beds. It is possible to book 15 of these beds electronically.
