Sortemosehus is a former forest ranger’s house from 1893, located in Arden at the southern entrance to Rold Skov.

Sortemosehus was converted into a Nature Center and Hærvejsherberg in 2025.

You can stay overnight at Sortemosehus in both shelters, in hostel rooms and in tents.
There is a tent site with space for 1 three-person tent. Max. two nights. It costs 40 kr. per tent per night.
When you book an overnight stay, you will receive a code for the toilet and shower in your email before your arrival.
