Nyholm – Arla® Organic Shelter

Welcome to Arla® Organic Shelters

This shelter site, located at Nyholm, is set amidst the beautiful natural surroundings near Brande.

Nyholm is an old ancestral farm with a history dating back to 1866. It is owned by Flemming, who was born and raised on the farm and has been running it since 1995. For the past 18 years, Nyholm has been operated organically, with a herd of 160 organic dairy cows, heifers, and calves that graze outdoors all summer. The farm also manages 285 hectares of farmland and 75 hectares of forest and natural areas. The fields produce grass, rye, barley, wheat, and oats, primarily used as feed for the cows.

Brande is a town in Central Jutland with 7,521 inhabitants. It is located 12 km southwest of Ejstrupholm, 14 km northwest of Give, 26 km south of Herning, and 26 km south of Ikast. The town is part of the Ikast-Brande Municipality and lies in the Central Denmark Region.

The Arla® Organic shelter site is fully equipped with a shelter, benches, and a firepit. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag, firewood, and curiosity for nature.

A parking area is available near the Arla® Organic shelter, from which a path leads across the field to the shelter. The distance from the parking area to the shelter is approximately 40 meters through slightly hilly terrain.

• Since we would like as many as possible to enjoy our shelters, you can only book a stay for a maximum of three nights
• Number of shelters: 1
• Number of sleeping places: 4-(5) people
• Drinking water: No
• Toilet: No, the nearest toilet is 3 km (Brande Kirke) away and otherwise, there is toilet access 12 km away in Hastrup Plantage.
• Tables & benches: Yes, there is room for 4 people.
• Fire pit: Yes, but you must bring your own firewood.
• Tents: No, setting up tents is not allowed.<

Rules for using the shelter site:

• Remember to extinguish the fire.
• Use the trash bin.
• Keep the shelter site clean and tidy.
• Avoid unnecessary noise.
• No music is allowed.
• Animals are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash.
• Do not feed or scare the animals.

Important: You must not have been abroad within the last 48 hours before visiting a farm, as you may bring animal diseases into Denmark.
