Rudholm – Arla® Organic Shelter

Welcome to Arla® Organic Shelters

This shelter site, located at Rudholm, is set in the beautiful natural surroundings of Årre. Rudholm is run by Esben and Chao, who focus on the balance and interaction between animals and the land, along with a high degree of self-sufficiency. Esben and Chao are passionate about natural behavior, high animal health, and long lifespans for their cows. Their aim is to run their farm in harmony with nature and its own processes and rhythms.

Årre is a small village in Varde Municipality in Southwest Jutland, located between the towns of Esbjerg and Grindsted. The village has around 500 inhabitants and is characterized by a close-knit local community, scenic surroundings, and open farmland. Nature plays a central role in daily life.

There is parking available close to the Arla® Organic Shelter, with a field path leading to the shelter. The distance from the parking area to the shelter is approximately 100 meters through gently rolling terrain.

• Since we would like as many as possible to enjoy our shelters, you can only book a stay for a maximum of three nights
• Number of shelters: 1
• Sleeping capacity: 4-(5) people
• Drinking water: No
• Toilet: Public toilet available at Rousthøje Church, 6.7 km from the shelter
• Tables & benches: Yes, seating for 4 people
• Fire pit: Yes, but you must bring your own firewood
• Tents: No, setting up tents is not allowed

Rules for using the shelter site:

• Remember to extinguish the fire
• Use the trash bin
• Keep the shelter area clean and tidy
• Avoid unnecessary noise
• Music is not allowed
• Animals are welcome but must be kept on a leash
• Do not feed or scare the animals

Important: You must not have been abroad within the last 48 hours before visiting a farm, as you may bring animal diseases into Denmark.
