Vorgård – Arla® Organic Shelter

Welcome to Arla® Organic Shelters

This shelter site, located at Vorgård, is set in the beautiful natural surroundings of Gislinge. The land is farmed by Yke and Rein, who live at Vorgård. In addition to general farming, they run a dairy cattle operation. Their cattle help manage extensive grassland areas.

Gislinge is a small town in Holbæk Municipality on the island of Zealand, located in the scenic area between Holbæk and the Lammefjord. The town has around 900 inhabitants.
The area around Gislinge offers beautiful nature, open fields, and small country roads – ideal for walking and cycling. It is a peaceful place with deep roots in Danish agricultural history and village culture.

There is parking available near the Arla® Organic Shelter, and a field path leads to the shelter. The distance from the parking area to the shelter is approximately 30 meters through gently rolling terrain.

• Since we would like as many as possible to enjoy our shelters, you can only book a stay for a maximum of three nights
• Number of shelters: 1
• Sleeping capacity: 4-(5) people
• Drinking water: No
• Toilet: Composting toilet available at the shelter
• Tables & benches: Yes, seating for 4 people
• Fire pit: Yes, but you must bring your own firewood
• Tents: No, setting up tents is not allowed

Rules for using the shelter site:

• Remember to extinguish the fire
• Use the trash bin
• Keep the shelter area clean and tidy
• Avoid unnecessary noise
• Music is not allowed
• Animals are welcome but must be kept on a leash
• Do not feed or scare the animals

Important: You must not have been abroad within the last 48 hours before visiting a farm, as you may bring animal diseases into Denmark.
