• It’s so quiet here that the sound of your own breathing can almost scare you
• It’s so lovely here that it’ll bring tears to your eyes.
• You’ll be impressed by the sheer number of wild flowers, bushes, mushrooms, and trees
• The amount of wildlife , animals, birds, bats, amphibians, and insects – is so huge that you’ll never see them all
• Orchids bloom in May – looking and admiring is fine, but not touching or picking them
• The sound of the Natterjack Toads’ mating calls in spring can be almost intoxicating
• There’s a view over Helnæs Bay
• Helnæs Bay is 300 m from the site
• The wood is 25 m from the site
• There are enough hiking trails and walks for an entire life
• You can catch common prawns
• You can catch crabs and small fish
• You can catch sea trout and European Flounders
• You can catch mussels to make delicious moules marinières
• Want to say hello to cows, calves, horses, lambs, sheep, and chickens? All are close by.
• You can pick and eat all the raspberries, blackberries, hazel nuts, damsons, apples, and pears you want – when they’re in season
• Go into the wood and find your own personal fire stick (those on the forest floor)
• Or you can just light a fire, sit down, enjoy the view and let time slip by
