Højrupgård is no shelter site in the traditional sense as there are actually no shelters here.
But since there are plenty of more or less primitive activities and overnight accommodation to choose from, we have decided to include it on this website. We believe that many hikers will find this place attractive for a one- or two-night stay on their route. You can sleep in hammocks which can be rented on site or you can choose “de luxe” accommodation in one of the small camping cabins also on site.
If you want fish for dinner, you can catch it right outside your door in one of the artificially stocked lakes.
You can also “park” your horse here for the night. Want to go riding, but didn’t bring your horse? Enjoy a pleasant ride on an Islandic pony from Højrupgaard.
