Utterslev shelter site
In the middle of the peaceful village of Utterslev, you can spend the night in 2 shelters, one of which is handicap accessible. The shelter is set back from the road in the corner of a green leisure area, overlooking the open fields. The area is planted with both apple trees and a Tjua where children can play hide and seek. There are several tables and benches set around the site, and there are fire pits outside each shelter and in the large fire pit. Exercise equipment is set up for the enjoyment of both adults and children. There is also a petanque court and a book café for free use. The area has well-kept grass and trimmed hedges. There are sockets in the shelters for charging mobile phones, electric bicycles and more, and there are lamps. Primitive toilet and drinking water are also available.

Next to the shelter site runs the old listed railway embankment as the ‘Energy Path’, where you can follow a small spur road at the end to Horslunde, where you can go shopping on a footpath. The footpath is difficult to access Along the main roads, it’s just under 3.5 kilometres to Horslunde.
The shelter site is part of our major adventure route, Naturlandet Rundt.
