At the foot of “the outermost mountains”, this shelter is set back among the trees to give you that calm and relaxing feeling you find in the forest. This shelter is by far the smallest of the three shelters we have at Trente Mill. It can easily accommodate 5 people, perhaps even 6, if you don’t mind snuggling up to each other or if you are not all that large. On the other hand, this is the only Trente Mill shelter with an open loft or ‘bunk bed’, if you like. On each side of the shelter there is a flap and when open, they provide sleeping for another 2 persons. With only 800 metres to the Archipelago Trail (Øhavsstien) and 500 metres to Trente Mill where you’ll find a public lavatory, access to water, Kiss the Frog activity centre (Kys Frøen), and plenty of fishing opportunities, this shelter is the obvious choice if you are hiking the Archipelago Trail or are a family with small children looking for a shelter with many activities to choose from. Because of its smaller size, this is the shelter to go for when there’s just a few of you or if you want to use a shelter at other seasons than summer.

Water and WC
There is a public toilet at Trente Mill, 400 meter from the shelter. You can also find water here.

Campfire and firewood
You can light a campfire in the brazier in front of the shelter and collect dead firewood in the forest. There’s a saw and an axe at your disposal.
